Oldham Law, based in Louisville, Kentucky, represents and advocates for all types of health care and commercial entities with particular emphasis on skilled nursing and elder care companies, facilities and individuals. With over 75 years of combined experience in healthcare and commercial litigation, our philosophy is simple: we bring an investigative mindset to every situation and dig deep to find answers, approaches, and successful strategies for our clients. Our knowledge of this landscape allows us to develop efficient, tailored solutions for each of our clients.

  • Assist attorneys and litigation paralegals with the evaluation of nursing home cases, long term acute care hospital cases, product liability cases and other cases as assigned. Responsibilities are performed under the supervision of the attorneys and are carried out based upon the discretion and preference of the attorneys and any established firm protocols for case management.
  • Our LNC/nurse analyst assists attorneys paying particular attention to the medical and nursing aspects of cases in litigation by obtaining, organizing and summarizing medical records and related documentation, preparing medical research and consults with expert witnesses, and assisting in preparing pleadings and client reports
  • Maintain organized and indexed medical records in digital or paper format as requested by supervising attorney
  • Create medical chronologies and narrative summaries of medical records

  • While this is a position for a nurse, it is a non-clinical position. Associated benefits include trading hands-on patient care and working within an ever-changing stressful healthcare environment for a regular schedule.
